TÜV Süd and bSafe certify the FT10e Firefighting Turbine
After joint tests, the two fire certification bodies of bSafe and TüV Süd have proved the suitability of our FT10e firefighting turbine.
In autumn of 2018, extensive performance tests were carried out with the FT10e firefighting turbine in Styria and South Tyrol. The two fire certification bodies bSafe Brandschutz GmbH and TüV Süd Landesgesellschaft Österreich produced comprehensive fire load calculations for solid and liquid fuels on the basis of these performance tests.
The results are outstanding: In addition to confirming the high throwing distance (at least 50m with water mist and at least 70m with full jet), the firefighting capacity and the many uses possible were also praised. The fine water mist binds energy and pollutant particles very efficiently due to its low sedimentation rate. Thus, the firefighting turbine can not only be used for the cooling of objects but is also ideally suited for the suppression of pollutant emissions.
The two certification bodies confirm the suitability of the FT10e for the following fire classes:
• Fire class A – solid fuels
• Fire class B – liquid fuels
• Fire class C – gaseous fuels
• Fire class F – grease fires
Excerpt from the report
“The FT10e firefighting turbine is an extinguisher that uses state-of-the-art technology. It actually represents a further development of a radiant tube monitor with the extension through a nozzle ring, which produces a fine spray. This achieves a great, previously unknown energy intake.”
…
“Basically, it can be stated that the F10e firefighting turbine is one of the most versatile and universally applicable extinguishing devices of today's technology.”
